NVIDIA expects record crowds at GPU Technology Conference next week

Nvidia is expecting a record 8,000 attendees next week for its eighth annual GPU Technology Conference, in Silicon Valley.

The HPC Today team will be part of it and we will cover the event to keep you up to date with the latest from the show; As far as we know this year focus will be on the future of virtual reality to how software is writing software for AI cars.

120 startups applied to participate in a VR Content Showcase. From those, 10 finalists will compete on stage, pitching their best work and demos to a panel of judges. One winner will walk away with $30,000 in cash and prizes.

Autonomous cars will also be the stars of the show with Nvidia showcasing NVIDIA DRIVE PX2 and the NVIDIA Driveworks SDK, while manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz will present their vision of AI in a car.

Nvidia CEO and founder Jensen Huang will deliver the GTC keynote on Wednesday, at 9am Pacific. The livestream will be available on NVIDIA website.

Nvidia corporate blog, https://blogs.nvidia.com/, will also provide a live coverage of Jensen’s keynote — and all the goings on at the event — as they happen.
