Intel extends OpenCL to all of its platforms
By   |  May 29, 2014

In continuing support of its software investments based on the OpenCL – and OpenMP – standards, Intel has just released the official version of its SDK 2014 for OpenCL 1.2 applications.

After a number of stability and performance fixes to the 2013 beta version, this new release unifies the OpenCL support for all Intel Xeons (E5 and E7), Xeon Phi, Intel Graphics and Atom platflorms on Windows, Linux and Android systems for remote development only.

Also new are improved debugging capabilities aimed at the OpenCL API, with the additional possibility of step-by-step execution on the Intel cores and better support for code optimization.

The SDK and the necessary documentation is available for direct download from Intel’s website.
